Unfortunately, the cost is caused by UPS/FedEx oversized-package surcharge, not the weight or price of the bar top.
This top very large. Once properly boxed, it exceeds the dimensional limits UPS and FedEx use for normal packages. The carriers then classify it as an oversized/large package and apply substantial mandatory surcharges.
Typical shipping cost: $200-300 for each bar top depending on your proximity to North Carolina. Multiple bar tops must ship freight and can be as high as $600.
We know that’s an absurd amount to ship a $199 bar top. We don’t like it either.
Consider a square top
All square bar tops are under the large package limit and are substantially less expensive to ship.
Ordering this top with a new bar?
Do it at the same time whenever possible. Adding an additional top to a new bar shipment add $0 to cost cost of freight.
